CAKE continues expansion in Asia with new flagship CAKE:site Seoul

CAKE, the Swedish maker of premium lightweight, electric motorcycles, is proud to open the doors of its newest flagship CAKE:site Seoul, in South Korea together with our local partner Kolon. With CAKE’s mission to inspire towards a zero-emission society, Seoul was a significant choice due to the country’s recognition at being at the forefront of technological innovation, and a leader in the push toward an environmentally sustainable lifestyle.

CAKE:site Seoul is in the heart of the eclectic, happening and energetic Gangnam and adjacent to the Sinsa and Apgujeong neighborhoods. The six-story building, resplendent with its modern flair that is emblematic of the contemporary and artistic nature of the upscale South Korean lifestyle, will house a retail showroom, full-service center, and cafe. Test rides allow customers to experience the full range of CAKE products in person and the third floor cafe with terrace will act as a hub for our CAKE community of owners and prospective customers.

“It’s an honor to open our first CAKE:site in Asia in a progressive city that understands the need to overhaul the old ways of urban transportation. Electric two-wheeled transportation is the future of urban mobility and I’m excited to bring CAKE to a city that, both from a lifestyle and government policy standpoint, is trying to drive the change to electrification and a more sustainable future.” said CAKE Founder and CEO, Stefan Ytterborn.

“The level of accuracy and precision making this happen is simply amazing. We are truly honored to be able to work together with world class partners like Kolon, sharing efforts and vision.” continued Ytterborn.“Today marks a significant milestone in our journey towards sustainable mobility as we celebrate the partnership between CAKE and Kolon and CAKE's official launch in South Korea. By joining hands, we enhance our ability to provide seamless and efficient transportation solutions to our community, and affirm our shared commitment towards building a greener and more sustainable future for generations to come.” said Kyung Jae Min, Kolon Group.

Seoul is home to over 10 million people and is one of the most densely-populated cities in the world. Sustainable living and increasing mobility have been a pillar of South Korean government policy for years. As electric vehicles have surged in popularity the local government in Seoul has launched efforts to make the city a global hub for environmentally friendly mobility services. It is also establishing itself as a global leader in the effort to create better policies and infrastructure to encourage the use of electric mobility.

The CAKE:site Seoul is located at Sinsa-dong 552-21, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in Korea.
