Job description – Electrical Engineer

Cake 0 Emission AB is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Electrical Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks, from hands on testing to long-term strategic planning. The position is based in Stockholm Sweden.

Accountabilities
  • Responsible for the electric drive train strategic plan
  • Plan, execute and follow-up development activities together with external partners
  • Working with internal engineering teams to develop the electrical drive train, including battery, motor, controller, display and general electronics
  • Plan and perform product test- and verification activities
  • Being continuously updated on latest developments and innovations
  • Supporting production, suppliers and sales as needed
Skills / Knowledge
  • Must possess a comprehensive electronics or mechatronics engineering background
  • Knowledge of power electronics
  • Experience of at least two of the following areas: electrical motors, electrical control units, battery technology, embedded software
  • Works with minimal supervision
Education
  • University degree in electronics, mechatronics or similar
Languages
  • English is mandatory

Job description – Promotions & Events Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Promotions & Events Specialist is responsible for all states from Colorado west. The Promotions & Events Specialist for Cake North America is an essential position in the planning and execution of consumer and trade focused programs, demo and consumer engaging events. The Promotions & Events Specialist will oversee and help support the Cake brand in the following aspects: West coast demo tour, service/maintenance, events, and retail marketing aspects. The Promotions & Events Specialist needs to be personable, engaging and capable of representing the brand in various settings. The Promotions & Events Specialist is the ultimate brand ambassador leading by example both personally and professionally as a stalwart advocate of the brand. Being personable, organized and able to manage many different relationships and projects at any given time is a must. This position must be able to clearly map out and communicate the goals and objectives of demo programs and events in both short and long-term vision. As well as have the ability to drive long distances and be on the road for weeks at a time. The Promotions & Events Specialist will play a critical role in the effectiveness of CAKE’s marketing efforts and will work closely with the Brand Manager. The position reports to the CAKE North American Brand Manager that will provide support & direction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role will be responsible for ideation, collaborating and execution of demo and test events – while managing, and executing upon the following areas for Cake North American marketing aspects:

Demo Tours:

• Plan, manage and execute the west coast demo tour with guidance from the Brand Manager.
• Follow the demo tour schedule promptly and follow all necessary procedures.
• Ensure the demo vehicle, bikes, tools, and promotional items are clean and in perfect working condition
at all times.
• Manage demo event reporting for post-event recaps for the Cake team with learnings, areas of opportunities, continuous improvement and ROI.

Event/Tradeshow:

• Aid in the planning, management, and execution of events and community programs.
• Assist in the brainstorm and execution of brand event concepts.
• Travel to trade and consumer events to manage, produce and execute events.
• Manage event reporting for post-event recaps for the Cake team with learnings, areas of opportunities,
continuous improvement and ROI.

Retail Marketing Support:

• Assist marketing team with retail marketing aspects, marketing tools / go-to-market tools distribution and retail marketing activations.
General:
• Support the Management Team in maintaining a fun place to work. Participates as part of the North American Cake brand and marketing team, driving positive collaboration across departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Location: California
Ability to travel 80% annually, valid passport
Position Details: Full-time position
Employee will have full-time paid use of, an access to a Cake company vehicle for business use.
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Work Experience:
Min: 1-3 years in event management and/or demo driving experience.

Experience and Skills:
• Strong service mind, highly organized, efficient, helpful, proactive, and energetic.
• The ability to drive long distance and be on the road for weeks at a time.
• Strong writing, communication and presentation skills.
• Solid critical thinking, creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience producing events, managing ambassador programs, sports marketing and retail marketing preferred. Outdoor, action sport, snow-sport and/or cycling industry experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Skype for Business
• Able to multi-task and withstand pressure in a fast-moving environment.
• Passionate about two wheeled sports, and active-lifestyle-outdoor minded people preferred.

The successful candidate is comfortable working with different types of mechanical development tasks, from creative concept development to hands-on testing. The position is based in Stockholm, Sweden

Who We Are

CAKE develops uncompromising, high performance, light electric motorbikes. CAKE’s mission is to speed up the journey towards a zero emission society, while enhancing excitement and fun.

A vast majority of the components are made from scratch to optimize the riding performance in this new category of vehicles. Every little detail is elaborated for perfection, while always considering the perspectives of sustainability.

Accountabilities
  • Mechanical design of different mechanical systems including frame, bodywork, drivetrain components and more.
  • Creating 2D drawings for production and quality control
  • Continuously generating and maintaining well-organized product data
  • Planning and performing test- and verification activities
  • Supporting final assembly and suppliers with design changes, quality improvements and assembly procedures
Skills / Knowledge
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design
  • Proficient in using CAD software
  • Comfortable doing 2D drafting and tolerancing
  • Experience of design for CNC machining, forging and plastic molding
  • Works with minimal supervision
Education
  • University degree in mechanical engineering
Languages
  • English is mandatory
  • Swedish is a plus
